It's a Midsummer Solstice Full Moon!

Greetings Fellow Metaphysicians!

We have a Full Moon in Sagittarius on Monday, June 20th, 2016, at 7:02 a.m., edt.  It is also the day of the Summer Solstice which hits exactly at 6:34 p.m.  It is a rare occurrence that has not happened like this since 1948.  The Faerie holiday, also called Litha in ancient times, is known of course as the longest day of the year.  The Sun is at its peak.  The Sun shines it's longest day, as the moon rises to greet us in it's fullness. It's long been known as a Honey Moon!  (A perfect day for a honeymoon, if you know what I mean.)  It is also known as a Strong Sun Moon.  The light from the moon and sun simultaneously looks a little like the color of honey, hence, the "Honey Moon".

It is a midsummer day and night, a full moon, the first day of Summer and it is jam packed with cosmic energy, the likes we can not even begin to unravel without pondering all the complications.  And it is complicated.  Simply put, there are many positive aspects, and many challenging aspect.  But, oh, it is such a pretty Sun and Moon!  Isn't it thought?

 As William Shakespeare so aptly stated in his very famous play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream"...

I chuckle when I think of this line, as it is so fitting for this time.  The natural world, the elementals, the animals, and the fae, all have it wrapped up.  If you haven't seen the Shakespeare play, this is the perfect time to start.  It is a time of slap-happy mishaps, doggedly determined futility, romantic illusions and delusions, master plans of epic proportions gone awry or haywire, all in the end, leaving us exhausted, and hopefully laughing, wondering why the heck we wore our poor selves out running around like a bunch of nut cases.  

There is a light, sunny, and bright side to this.  It is now Summer, after all.  It is a holiday for the natural and metaphysical world.  The Sagittarius moon is ready to conquer the world.  There will definitely be mystery and excitement with Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus playing the game.  The Sun will add some spice to the mix.  Jupiter is playing mister big stuff, of course, and with him being the ruler of Sag, expect some major players to step up and lead you down the path (probably the wrong one, unbeknownst (or not) to them or you).  

There is also a dark side to this moon.  That mystery I mentioned earlier may be a little dangerous.  And that guy that's trying to take you down the path....well....I would kick him to the curb.  Venus (love, beauty, cash, and luxury, did I say love?) is trying (I think) to play nice with the Sun and Jupiter (the good guy, so he thinks), but I don't trust it.  There is too much of a pull to cause havoc in a major way, especially with all that metaphysical mayhem going on behind the scenes.  Refer to Shakespeare's play.  Mars retrograde (male bravado, aggression, ego) and Mercury (communications, now-you-see-me-now-you-don't) is messing up those nice and agreeable aspects mentioned heretofore.

Remember...

-We are already heavily submerged in the Neptune in Pisces quest for euphoria. 

-The Sagittarius, Neptune, Saturn dilemma is being activated and exasperated by this moon.  All is not what it seems.  You must sort it all out with convoluted guidance.  Good luck.

-The big guys, Saturn, Pluto, Neptune are all retrograde.  Get a grip.  Seriously.

-Mars is still retrograde, causing major frustrations, especially in relationships, any kind of relationship, even with yourself.  Some will escape this.  You have to know what you're dealing with. Hang in there.  It's almost over.  

-Poor Chiron is still in Pisces, busily trying to shuttle from soul to soul, and licking wounds and soothing hurt feelings.  Sniffle, Sniffle.

Which brings me to my next point.  Take care of your health y'all.  Get out there with Jupiter and start a new work out plan.  Revisit your eating habits.  Rethink your medicines and supplements.  Take care of yourself, especially now.  

The energy is loaded with challenges, but in the background, it is still a beautiful world.  "And I think to myself, what a wonderful world."

At the end of the day, it is all meant for good, ya know.  Enjoy your Full Moon & Summer Solstice! Enjoy your Faerie Holiday, please!  Count your blessings and your lucky stars.  There are millions and trillions of them. Set up some faerie villages under your trees.  Plant your summer pots, sprinkle your magic dust, dance under the moonlight, sing under the stars, forge ahead with all your past new moon wishes!  They are still going to happen, after all.

New Moon in Gemini, Dancing in the Moonlight!

Greetings Fellow Metaphysicians!

There is a New Moon in Gemini on Saturday, June 4th at, 10:58:28 p.m., edt.

Now I am a positive person.  Always have been.  I like to make lemonade out of lemons. Must be all the Neptune flooding my chart.  I believe what I want to believe, and so it is. I love to out-trick the master trickster, The Artful Dodger him/herself, Gemini.  It's all in good fun you see.  No harm, no foul.  Gemini loves a rockin' good time, playing mind games, playing now-you-see-me-now-you-don't.  It just depends who the other players are in the game.  That's a different story.

This New Moon has so many auspicious elements attached to it. Just make sure to activate your sonar/radar protective shield and detector.  Don't play the fool.  No matter whose side you're on.  Remember. Now-you-see-me-now-you-don't.  Have fun!  Enjoy the moment!  Make lemonade out of lemons!  Be prepared to out-trick the trickster....if you can.

Before I lay on the heavy stuff....I have a piece of advice.  Try to have a good time.  Go dancing. Go singing.  Socialize.  Hook up with your peeps. After all, it is a New Moon.  And it is a New Moon in Gemini.  Click on the song.  I'm just sayin'....

Ok.  Now for the heavy stuff... This is a tough call and hard to explain.  Mars and Saturn are retrograde.  Mars is in Scorpio, and Saturn is dangerously mega-millimeters close to it's old nemesis Scorpio, opposing what could have been a good call for Mercury, if it wasn't sitting in Taurus right now, stubborn old hard-pressed Taurus. The good news is Pluto and Jupiter ARE in earth signs supporting Mercury, hence we have the option for a rockin' good party for the weekend New Moon. Just keep it close to home, and watch your back.

Don't.  I repeat.  Don't. Make. Plans. For. A NEW long term love affair.  If you're already there, you're good...maybe.  Wait it out.  Don't push.  Besides, Lilith, the female goddess of  the dark side of the moon is in Scorpio too, sitting there waiting to strike the feminine ego.  While it is a hot and steamy lovers' energy.....Don't. Think. For. A. Minute... you will know the outcome.  You may, or you may not.  Remember.  Now-you-see-me-now-you-don't.  Seriously? Who has time or inclination for that?   Wait for the wind to blow....(the Gemini wind).  Just have fun where you can.  Enjoy it. Why so serious?

I will say with Jupiter and Pluto in earth signs forming nice aspects in auspicious places, this is a good time to work on mental, psychological health, which in turn, affects your physical health, whatever your situation may be.  Try meditation, mind-over-matter techniques, positive thinking. With these aspects hitting Mercury (now in Taurus, an earth sign, but soon to be in it's own sign of Gemini), it is a very good time to plan and implement (New Moon energy), a new mental and physical health program for the Summer. Also, one important tip, due to the aspects and locations of these planetary goodies, it appears that reaching out to the lonely, sick, abused, abandoned, forgotten souls, can also comfort the one doing the reaching.  It's like chicken soup for the soul.  The healer becomes the healed (Chiron in Pisces).

Ironically, with all this tricky energy going down, it IS a good moon for a spiritual or metaphysical businesses, as well as healing businesses, to thrive!!  Also, Artists and creators will do well under this moon. The spiritual aspect is strong in this one, so anything that involves metaphysics or spirituality is auspicious at this time.  Just be sure it is all for good, as it WILL come right back at you.  The trick with this moon will be deciding exactly WHAT is good...

And now for the New Moon intentions and wishes.  After all, that's what it's all about.  You may set your intentions right after the new moon becomes exact at 10:58 p.m., edt, on Saturday, until Sunday, June 5th, at 12:47 p.m. Then you can begin again at 11:47 p.m., when the moon leaves void-of-course.

-Write down your intentions and wishes in your journal.
-Display an altar with symbols and trinkets representing your wishes.
-For this air sign moon, leave out feathers to attract faeries and angels.

We are still dealing with the past moon cycles and eclipses that have brought us to this point. Full Moon in Sagittarius, We All Shine On!

Greetings Fellow Metaphysicians!

We have a gorgeous Full Moon in Sagittarius, on Saturday, 5:14:13 p.m., edt.

I calculated the time of  this one exactly because of the intensity that will follow.  In the old days, this one would be called a Blue Moon, a possible one of many different definitions. Usually a blue moon is a 2nd full moon in a cycle, but this one means "a 3rd of 4 full moons in a single season" (Earthsky.org).  I like that.  It's interesting.  And with a prominent Jupiter at play this time, I feel a little philosophical. Jupiter likes that!   This moon is also very, very close to the earth.  We have some powerful energy pulling us.

 However.  And I mean, However.  We may be seeing red as the Mars component of this mixture is strong, very strong.  Mars in Sag is conjuncting the Moon in Sag as it opposes the Sun and Venus.  Nothing.  And I mean nothing is going to stop the Sagittarius moon.  Just try.  I dare you.  And Mars is retrograde.  Venus (love, romance, luxury)  is having trouble with this Mars energy. There is an intensity there. I'm sure you have noticed.  Mars is aggression, ambition, leadership, unstoppable, bossy, but also confident, optimistic, expansive.  Sounds like some Jupiter there to me.

With all that Sagittarius and Jupiter going around, it's going to be a wild ride.  I hope it bodes well for all.  Jupiter loves to shoot for the stars, but will land on the moon, if it must.  And it will be upset if anything goes wrong.  Very upset.  We have a gigantic T Square that looks almost formidable.  It looks like it has some Jupiterian expanded energy of secrets and deception, fantastical thinking, and dubious communications.  Much will be revealed through the Mercury retrograde.  If you have been doing your light working, you just may bypass the messy Mars situation.

With Mars and Saturn as strange bedfellows, it's hard to say what is the saving grace.  There are ways. There are remedies to wash away that nasty karma.

I will say this.  Everything will be ok.  Eventually.  Get out in nature, under the moonlight.  Charge your stones, crystals, candles (the moon is in a fire sign), jewelry, and any special thing you feel needs an energetic boost! Put it right out there in the moonlight.  Have a bonfire, or a campfire, to boost the fire element of Sag and Mars (be careful)!

Although the elementals are not negatively affected by all this metaphysical energy, the animals may be.  Take care to treat them with care.  Be positive and helpful to innocent souls.  Help to speed up the vibration of light.

Last but not least, there is potent energy for some good old fashioned spirituality and/or mysticism.  It is ALSO great energy for expanding creative, spiritual, entertainment, sports, internet, health care, and service businesses!!

New Moon on Friday, May 6th, Fly Me to the Moon!

Greetings Fellow Metaphysicians!

There will be a New Moon on Friday, May 6th, at 3:31 p.m., edt.

The Moon will be in Taurus, as well as Mercury, Sun, and Venus, forming a magnificent stellium in earth signs. Plus, we have Jupiter and Pluto in earth signs. That's a lot of earth going around.  And so be it.

We have had some monsoons in water signs, and wildfires in the fire signs, for an overextended overstay in the past, so now it's time to "speed the plow", and dig in to some homey, stable, comfy, cozy earth signs.

However.  And I do mean HOWEVER.  There are still some issues to deal with.  With Mars retrograde, as I am sure some people have noticed,  (ahem, cough cough, choke, choke...), there is some crazy tension and some hard earned corrections by Saturn retrograde.  My goodness.  Some things, and I say some, can be like moving a brick wall.  You know what I mean? There are 5 planets retrograde, causing us to wonder (or freak out) about what the heck is going on here.  Now with Mercury retro playing nice at the time of the New Moon, it does help and blend in nicely with all the good things that could happen.

And yes.  They could happen.  There is a beautiful equilateral triangle that has and is forming, and is causing potentially wonderful things to happen with Jupiter and Pluto.....and.....drumroll please, yes....wait for it.....Venus!!

All the lovers are out there crying, "What about LOOOVVE??"  Well, Venus in it's home sign of Taurus is looking pretty darn good for the next 2 weeks or so, but especially good for this weekend.  And in Taurus, I think we should all really put some thought and effort into making love and romance a nice little priority.  With the grand trine and all, there is definitely some potential for a very good stay, especially for walks under the moonlight, dabbling in the garden, fine dining, sitting around admiring your bank account!!  These are ALL very Taurus type of things to do.  Take advantage of this nice energy, forget about the bad, and live it up in true Venusian style.

The Fae have just celebrated Beltane (ask anyone from Ireland, if you don't believe me), and the elementals, animals, spirit animals, and all of nature, are getting prepared for a beautiful springtime season, everywhere!  With all the earth in this New Moon, we should really get out in nature and "speed the plow", despite any setbacks or blockages.  Nature is the healer, earth is the doctor, and the metaphysical world is the unseen vitamin shot!!

From a 14th century poem, we remember to  give thanks to these times of goodness and prosperity.  (And yes, we are all prosperous in more ways than one, despite what others try to tell us.)

"By plowing and sowing and reaping and mowing
All nature provides me with plenty-
With a cellar well stored and a plentiful board,
And my garden affords any dainty"

You can set your intentions right at the time of the moon, at 3:31 p.m. until 10:10 p.m., edt, when the moon goes void of course.  This is a very potent time for new starts and preparing the ground work.  It's also a time when, more than likely, you will have to re-do some things and make adjustments.  (Think of all those retrograde planets.)  Plan on plowing and sowing, planning and doing, adjusting to the changes necessary to make your dreams and goals happen.

It's a marvelous night for a moondance, Full Moon in Scorpio!

Greetings Fellow Metaphysicians!

There is a luscious full moon in Scorpio on Friday, April 22, at 1:24 a.m., edt.  For the east coast its after midnight, which makes it bewitching.  For the west coast, it's a nighttime moon which makes it fun as heck.  OOOOhhhhh, this is a good one, for sure.  It's magnetic and magical, and Venus will be sizzling close enough to Uranus (both in Aries, that rapscallion), to get the energy pumping and gyrating (you know...Scorpio and Pluto).  So all you lovebirds out there...let's get it on.  Too bad it hits exact on a weeknight, but what the heck.  You could always call off work.  And if you're the boss, close down the shop for a full moon weekend.  This is one moon you want to linger...

Allegedly, the moon looks rather quiet and serene.  Hah!! Scorpio, serene?  Scorpio, quiet?  I think not.  The sun is in luxurious Taurus, and that's fine, but honestly, this is a Scorpio moon, peeps.  All the more reason to plant yourself, for the long weekend. Remember you're calling off work, and/or the boss is giving everyone the long weekend off.  I would shoot for somewhere exotic (Taurus), and, well, Scorpionic.  :)

AND, what will follow this moon for the next day or so, within an hour of it becoming exact, is a beautiful trine to Neptune.  Mmmmm.....I love this stuff, being a Neptune girl myself.  I can tell you it will be very mystical, magical, lovely, and very watery...The intensity of the Scorpio water will blend with the mysticism of the Neptune water, so beautifully.  There is also a grand earth trine that will add to this a comforting, earthy, grounded tone.

The spiritual element cannot be denied, especially with Scorpio and the Moon.  It's a great moon for metaphysical activities, and magical incantations.  It will linger through the weekend, so don't worry about missing any of the good stuff it has to offer.

Remember, though, it is a full moon.  There will be that.  Be armed and forewarned.  Protect yourself, bless yourself.  But the most important thing is to love this full moon.  Haven't had one like this for awhile, one that allows for all the right aspects of a full moon.  This is a moon to enjoy.  Get out at nighttime.  Dance in the moonlight. Sing to the stars.  Play with the faeries.  Love the animals. Commune with nature.

New Moon in Aries, April 7th, I Can't Drive 55!!

Greetings Fellow Metaphysicians!

There will be a New Moon in Aries, on Thursday, April 7th, at 7:22 a.m.

Wowie Zowie, Holy Heavy Metal New Moon, Batman!  (Sorry, couldn't resist.)  Ride like the wind Bullseye!  Run with the pack.  Hop on a blue unicorn.  Aries and 12th house Moon will certainly offer these strange concoctions.  You will feel like a dangerous space cowboy (Uranus, Aries) galloping through a labyrinth of rainbow colored (12th house Neptune ruled) electrical flashes of lightning.  Good luck with that.

This one will pack a punch.  There is a freaking, (pardon my French), 4 planet pile up in Aries, with the New Moon sitting in the 12th house. Venus, Sun, Moon, and Uranus are up close and personal this time.  Uranus is electrifying and popping off  the Sun and the Moon.  They lie closely together like strange bedfellows.  Strange indeed!  Aries in the 12th?  Uranus in Aries in the 12th?  Uranus conjuncting Moon in the 12th? Lions and tigers and blue unicorns, Oh My!  And 3 of these are all squaring Pluto.  Well, thank God, Venus isn't.  At least you don't have to worry about your significant other popping off and doing.....I don't even want to think of it.

Ok. So.  What's up.  You will have the urge to move, go, charge, stampede, c'mon, let's do it.  But the moon is in a realm of wild and fantastical limitless expansiveness.  I can already feel the wind at your back.  You may go on and on and on....forevah.  But there seems to be a tough competitor breathing down your backs.  Can you do it?  Can you make it?  Here's the secret before you wear yourself out and collapse to mental, emotional, and spiritual exhaustion.  When you slow down, the demons will slow down, too!  Ok?  Don't be scared.  Everything will be ok.

Just know that 12th house matters will confound you, leaving you feel lost and confused.  It's an expansive vista of  supra-consciousness where many have been lost and never returned. And Uranus in Aries definitely needs a surefooted mapped out course and destination.  Of course the irony is the trailing of Pluto's dogged gutteral harrassment, slathering spew on our will power and confidence.  Dang.  I thought we had that worked out, after all.  And you know what?  We did.  It really will be ok.  This is like a combination of getting a colon cleansing (again, sorry), and then an electrical charge to our necessary brain waves.  Wow.  Talk about rehabilitation.  And don't forget.  It's a new moon.  I'm sure the faeries are going to just love this one...So as far as spiritual and enlightenment matters go, this can be a "full speed ahead" moment.  I'm sure the cosmic hardrive will be lighting up like a 4th of July in space.

So let's purge together and listen to the perfect song for this New Moon.....click it!

Be careful out there.  The moon goes void at 10:56 a.m. on Thursday, almost 4 hours after the new moon becomes exact, until Friday, April 8th at 2:10 a.m., where it lands in Taurus. Calm, cool, comforting Taurus.  Maybe you should wait to set your new moon intentions until then, if you're a scaredy cat.  But for the bold and brave ones, I say go for it!  What the heck?  That's what new moons are for, right?  It's always, always meant for good.  

It may be tough to sit still for yoga or meditation.  Try working out or pumping iron to loud heavy metal music.  Or something like that.  I, myself, will want to party with the faeries and elementals. Imagine being outside, running wild, running free, reaching for the sky....that sounds like the perfect meditation to me.

Of course, as you should know, this all depends on your personal chart and where the moon will sit. With the big stellium in Aries, it's pretty important to know where you stand.  Don't want to be caught off guard, you know.  Mercury looks good, as does Venus.  Hopefully, this is good news for the lovers out there.  But again, look at your chart.  Ultimately, Pluto will trine Jupiter.  This can be very good.  Although, Jupiter expands, so, even the crazy Uranian activity can expand, too. Saturn is trying to lend a little stability, but many humans will have trouble with that nebulous squaring to Neptune, causing them to lose their focus and minds.   Again, be careful with your activities, especially things like gambling, sports, partying.  I would say have a bonfire, but with all that fire sign activity going on, I'm going to opt out of that suggestion.

At the end of the day, these moons can be such a blast!!  Enjoy the awakening, feel the rush, .accept the challenge.  Go out in nature.  Run wild and free, like a unicorn in paradise.  Pray for protection.  Give thanks for your blessings.  Take care of the innocent, the helpless, the elderly, the animals.  Give to those in need.  Be well.  Be happy!!

Greetings Fellow Metaphysicians!

Full Moon & Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Libra, Wednesday, March 23rd, 8:01 a.m., edt.

The Moon will be partially eclipsed as it travels through the shadow of the Earth, the umbra.  This will cause a temporary "blocking" of light on the moon, thus causing and enhancing the feelings of fear, doubt, "darkness", loss...  However, the positive side is that it will bring mystery, renewal, faith, strength, and power.  You must release what is no longer needed or wanted, send it to the darkness, and release the light on what it is you need and desire.

Inevitably, this will tamper with our relationships.   The delicate, but eternally persistant Libran moon reaches out to our souls once again....yearning, seeking, insisting on resolution, harmony, balance, oneness, steady and stable love, with our near and dear one (or ones!)  It is as it should be.  True love and friendship should be strong and stable, nurturing and blessed.  Libra and the moon wills it so.  Venus (love, beauty) and Neptune (dreams, ideals)  are struggling with the earthbound (Saturn) and aggressive (Mars) side of love this time around.  Not to worry.  The Sun in Aries (Mars) can shine a brilliant beam of golden light on the fearful shadows, creating a "halo" effect on our most precious relationships.

This can be a time of soulmates and love!  It's also a time of gratitude for any of our relationships. The moon is in the mood for healing.  And it's a full moon.  Libra is in the area of health, also, making a positive aspect to healing, physically, as well as psychically and emotionally.  With Jupiter and Chiron's (the wounded healer's) help, in a good aspect with Pluto (the lord of depth), let the healing begin.

I also see animals highlighted here (moon in 6th house) for this eclipse.  Take care of the beasts and creatures.  Offer them shelter and nourishment.  Care for them as you would care for yourself.  And of course, know that the elementals are watching closely, as they set up camp for this enticing lunar eclipse.   This is their time...the onset of Spring and faerie holidays.
